Marcus Farr received a Master of Architecture from Rice University and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art and a Bachelors of Architecture from Drury University. Studies abroad include the Italian National Archives, the Accademia in Florence, and the Uffizi.
At Rice, his thesis work regarding urban transitions in infrastructure was published nationally in the urban design journal Revitalization and most recently in Cite magazine.
He won the RDA Initiatives For Houston Award for a funded study of sustainable urban conditions within in the city of Houston. The results of this project were published nationally. The project ultimately led to the design and conversion of existing parking structures into urban parks.
Marcus has been involved in architecture, urban design, and landscape projects with The Office of James Burnett, Carlos Jimenez, Fares el-Dahdah, Robert Stackhouse and SOM. Marcus Farr is currently involved in shooting location architecture, engineering, and landscape projects throughout the United States.
Upcoming trips include a self funded photographic expedition to Iceland later this year.
The studio has most recently been published in FORWARD, the scholarly magazine of the American Institute of Architects and Architect Colorado.
